Bridges
An incomplete smile can hurt your appearance and oral health. 
Without replacing missing teeth, your teeth may shift and alter your bite, facial appearance can sag, and more teeth are likely to fall out. People with lost teeth often endure restricted diets and a less active lifestyle because of embarrassment and difficulty chewing and speaking. Dr. Jarvis can construct a bridge to replace one or more missing teeth in your smile. With a custom bridge, you can speak, laugh, and smile with renewed self-assurance.
A fixed bridge replaces one tooth or a few teeth in a row. This oral appliance consists of prosthetic teeth, called a pontics, and one or two abutment crowns. Dr. Jarvis will secure the bridge with crowns on healthy teeth adjacent to the space left my missing teeth. Once the doctor places the bridge, you cannot remove it from your mouth. To keep the bridge in good condition, regularly brush and floss, and keep up with six-month checkups and cleanings.
